Does the car you are looking to purchase sound very inexpensive based on the national/local comps for the same car?? Know exactly what you are being sold!!!
ARIZONA and TEXAS do NOT have “LEMON LAW” or “MANUFACTURE BUYBACK” laws in place like most states to protect the consumer against FRAUD.
Some ARIZONA and TEXAS Independent Dealers are buying MBZ/BMW’s & Lexus out of State(California) that are sold at Wholesale Auctions as MANUFACTURE BUYBACK’S, commonly known as “LEMON LAW BUYBACKS”. The laws in most States including California require full disclosure to ANY buyer and “BRAND” there Titles as such. Same as “SALVAGE or THEFT RECOVERY”.
These same Dealers in both ARIZONA & TEXAS will purchase these cheap & unwanted cars at Auctions known as “Buyback Auctions”. Return them to ARIZONA or TEXAS. Convert these “BRANDED” Titles to Clean Titles and pass them off to buyers as Lease Returns often making some kind of Disclaimer on how all of the previous “MAJOR” Mechanical issues have been correct.
The Industry calls this “WASHING TITLES” and it’s Illegal in most States. Not to mention being considered Highly Unethical for ANY good Business to operate in this manner of Gross Deception…
PROTECT YOURSELF and know the Truth.. Purchase a “CAR FAX” on ANY pre-owned car you are considering. Please understand that a “Manufacture Buyback” or “Lemon law Buyback” as well as Accidents will stay as part of the Vehicles VIN# & History Forever!! ANY Dealership operating with any integrity should be willing to provide a CAR FAX free of charge when requested.
BE AWARE that the Industry recognizes the “BUYBACK” car the same as “SALVAGE” and are worth close to nothing after you make this fatal mistake of buying into someone’s lies. Most Insurance Companies & Lenders are now aware of this “CON” on the consumer & have stopped Insuring and lending on these cars with BAD Car Fax’s.
